Reports

Access comprehensive reports to track your restaurant's performance, analyze sales data, and generate exports for accounting and business analysis.

How to Access Reports​

Important

Reports are located on the Location Dashboard, not in the Settings menu. You must first navigate to a specific restaurant location to access reports.

Step-by-Step Navigation​

  1. Navigate to your restaurant location

    • From the Group/Chain Dashboard, click on the restaurant you want to view reports for
    • Or use the Location Switcher in the sidebar
  2. Go to Dashboard

    • Click Dashboard in the sidebar
  3. Find the Reports Section

    • Scroll down on the Dashboard page
    • The Reports section is located below the main dashboard metrics

Full Navigation Path: Group/Chain → [Restaurant Name] → Dashboard → Scroll down → Reports section

Available Reports​

Item Sales Report​

Track which menu items are selling and their performance over time.

What's Included:

  • Item name and category
  • Quantity sold
  • Revenue generated
  • Average price per item
  • Percentage of total sales

Use Cases:

  • Identify best-selling items
  • Find underperforming menu items
  • Inform menu pricing decisions
  • Track seasonal item performance

End of Day Report​

Get a complete summary of daily operations for closeout and reconciliation.

What's Included:

  • Total sales by payment method
  • Cash vs card breakdown
  • Tips collected
  • Discounts applied
  • Refunds processed
  • Tax collected
  • Number of orders/checks
  • Cash drawers: every drawer opened that day, with floats, counts, expected cash and variance. Drawers awaiting sign-off and unreconciled drawers are flagged. See Cash Drawers.

Use Cases:

  • Daily cash drawer reconciliation
  • End-of-shift closeout
  • Manager daily review
  • Accounting records

End of Shift Report​

A summary of one staff member's shift: hours, sales, tips and, if they held a cash drawer, the drawer itself (opening float, cash payments, cash refunds and their count). Managers also see the expected cash and the variance.

Export Reports​

Export your data in various formats for external analysis and accounting.

Export Formats:

  • CSV: For spreadsheets and data analysis
  • PDF: For printing and sharing
  • Excel: For accounting software

  • Payment breakdowns
  • Tax reports

Generating Reports​

Selecting Date Ranges​

  1. In the Reports section, find the date picker
  2. Choose from preset ranges:
    • Today
    • Yesterday
    • This Week
    • Last Week
    • This Month
    • Last Month
    • Custom Range
  3. For custom ranges, select start and end dates
  4. Click Generate Report or Apply

Filtering Reports​

Depending on the report type, you can filter by:

  • Date Range: Specific time period
  • Category: Menu categories
  • Payment Method: Cash, card, etc.
  • Employee: Staff member who processed orders

Exporting Reports​

  1. Generate the report you want to export
  2. Click the Export button (usually top right of the report)
  3. Select your preferred format (CSV, PDF, or Excel)
  4. The file will download to your device

Report Types Explained​

Sales Reports​

Track revenue and sales performance:

Best Practices​

Daily Closeout​

Run the End of Day Report at the end of each business day:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Reports
  2. Generate End of Day Report for today
  3. Check the Cash drawers section: sign off on any variance awaiting review, and resolve unreconciled drawers in Cash Drawers
  4. Verify card totals match payment processor
  5. Export and save for records

Weekly Review​

Review performance weekly with these reports:

  1. Item Sales Report: Check for trending items
  2. Sales Summary: Compare week-over-week performance
  3. Payment Breakdown: Identify payment method trends

Monthly Accounting​

For month-end accounting:

  1. Export the full month's transaction data
  2. Generate tax reports for each tax rate
  3. Export payment summaries for reconciliation
  4. Save PDF reports for records

Troubleshooting​

Reports Not Loading​

  • Refresh the page
  • Try a shorter date range
  • Check your internet connection
  • Clear browser cache

Data Looks Incorrect​

  • Verify you're viewing the correct location
  • Check the date range selected
  • Ensure all orders for the period are closed
  • Contact support if discrepancies persist

Export Not Working​

  • Try a different export format
  • Use a shorter date range for large exports
  • Check browser download settings
  • Disable popup blockers
